Privacy Policy for Dublin Psychotherapist

1. What Data I Collect
Through my intake form, I collect personal information, including:
- Your name, date of birth, phone number, and address
- Emergency contact information
- Health information, including mental and physical health concerns
- Medication and mental health service details
- Risk and safety information
- Any other relevant information you choose to share
2. Why I Collect This Data
This information is collected solely to provide psychotherapy services and ensure your safety. I collect only the information necessary to support your therapy.
3. How Your Data Is Stored
Your intake form information is stored securely via Tally.so, which complies with GDPR regulations and hosts its servers in the EU. Additionally, anonymised therapy notes are stored securely on password-protected computer systems, accessible only by me as your therapist. Tally.so does not sell personal data to third parties or use it for marketing purposes or for serving advertisements.
4. How Long Your Data Is Kept
I will retain your intake form and anonymised notes for a period of 7 years following the end of therapy, in line with professional guidelines and legal obligations. After this period, your data will be securely deleted unless there is a legal or clinical reason to retain it longer.
5. Who Your Data Is Shared With
Your information is strictly confidential. It will not be shared with anyone unless:
- You give explicit consent
- There is a legal requirement
- There is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others
I attend regular supervision as per the guidelines of my accrediting body but no identifying information is shared.
6. Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request the deletion of your data
- Restrict or object to processing
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

I make every effort to comply with my obligations under the Data Protection Act.
This website uses third-party service, Google analytics, to collect information such as the number of visitors and views. This is carried out in such a way that does not identify anyone. Read Google Analytics privacy policy here.
I understand the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of the information you may share while using the site. I will only contact you in relation to the counselling sessions, such as scheduling appointments or payments. I do not sell or share any personally identifiable details.
